It happened few times, after replacing the different motherboard, the original windows XP can be working, but some strange problem came out, network card looks working, but no internet, sound card looks no problem, but no sound.
the best solution is backup all the data and reinstall the windows XP.
Otherwise, you have to delete the the network card/sound card, and reinstall them.
disable them in the CMOS setting first, then load them again after restart windows few time.
replace motherboard, beware the driver for the device
